Rotary District Assembly
May 10, 2025

Eight members of our club along with three young people attended the Rotary District Conference on Saturday, May 10 ay Centennial College in Toronto.  District Governor Elect Niecy Dillon and her team organized many interesting sessions for Rotarians in the district to learn more about Rotary and how to have a successful Rotary Club.

The three young people from Port Hope Rotary helped District Youth services Chair Mark Chipman inform Rotarians about Rotary’s youth programs – Rotaract for ages 18 – 30, Youth Exchange for 16- or 17-year-olds, RYLS (Rotary Youth Leadership Symposium) and Interact for 14 – 18-year-old students in high school.  Our Inbound Youth Exchange Student from Italy, Lorenzo Fava, Trissa Torres and Eli Gibson, Port Hope High School Interactors who attended RYLS in April (Rotary Youth Leadership Symposium) did a fine job telling people about their Rotary experiences during Mark’s question and answer session.
We all enjoyed the delicious breakfast and lunch prepared by the culinary students at Centennial College.
