Challenger Baseball Game – August 31

Our Rotary Club through the Philp Trust Funds made a donation to the Challenger Baseball organization to support this adaptive baseball program designed to empower children and youth with cognitive and/or physical disabilities. We were invited to play a fun baseball game on August 31 at Wladyka Park in Port Hope.
A number of Rotarians dusted off their baseball skills to play a game against the kids. The players were John Mowat, Kevin Moore, Adam Pearson and Bob Gibson. Our cheerleaders were Lori Moore and June Gibson.
The game was a lopsided win for the kids.
